Topic: Who can Blog?

Hey all!

I created "www.occupystl.blogspot.com" so that we have another method of keeping people updated. It has become EXTREMELY popular, by the end of today it will probably have over 2,000 views and it has been live for less than 48 hours! I'm super proud of the success of this blog but I want it to continue blowin' up!

I am interested in people who have:

-experience in blogging who can help me make this thing super legit and official-looking
-confidence in their writing abilities
-the ability to effectively communicate with me and the other blog admins so that we can keep this blog as consistent as possible
-cell phones to update live info on location
-Photography skills

Please email me at kerrymccullen@gmail.com so we can get the blog rollin' :)

I would really love to make this a community page, where we have blogger profiles and other pages to link. Any and all feedback is really appreciated (and needed)

Thank you guys, I'm really proud of you <3

Kerry

Re: Who can Blog?

I'm a blogger but I'm not sure what else I could offer your blog. I think it is looking great.

Re: Who can Blog?

I can blog and help in other outreach spreading the word. My info is on the, media contact list. Jeremy P Lincicum

Eye for an eye, will leave the whole world blind.

Re: Who can Blog?

I may be able to help blog, especially on the days that I am not using my cameras to cover the events.  I can use my lunch time to write as well.  Even short blog entries with just a photo can be a huge help.  Also, I can help to edit any posts for others.  I'm pretty good and spotting spelling and grammar errors, but it's not like I've taught English or anything.

My contact info is in the media post about that.  Look for the email address that starts with R3newed.

Re: Who can Blog?

I purpose unifying the blog you set up with the occupystl.org site (which is in its self a wordpress blog) -- Then aiming to allow more contributing bloggers who can update and share relevant information from the various committees.

Re: Who can Blog?

ddd, i agree whole heartedly. there needs to be a section on occupystl.org of links to individual blogs of people who are there and following the movement so that the public has easy access to personal accounts of what is going on. unfortunately this also requires a level of technical support at keiner plaza that we are still working on. we need focus on more hotspots and more cameras, but we're getting close! keep up the good fight!

Re: Who can Blog?

Thank you for everyone's feedback. We have assembled a fantastic team of bloggers who will be writing content for our community. I would also love to set up forums on the blog site as well to continue promoting more discussions within the movement.

I am still new to the blogging community, so comments are always welcome @ kerrymccullen@gmail.com. Please subscribe to www.occupystl.blogspot.com and comment! The latest blog is by Greg F, philosophy student at Webster University. Enjoy smile

Re: Who can Blog?

Hi kerry. just FYI, we had a proposal that passed consensus last night to create an internet sub-committee for our media group, i'd like you to be a part of that, setting up the forum for it now.

Re: Who can Blog?

Moved to Internet forum.
